Fraser Island stretches over 123 kilometres in length and 22 kilometres at its widest point. It is home to the spectacular Lake McKenzie plus a diverse array of native plants, animals and water creatures. It is not uncommon to see a dingo along the beach or a prehistoric looking lizard climbing one of the island’s trees. On your visit you may see dolphins, dugongs, turtles, rays, and the migrating humpback whales (from July to November) that frequent the island waters.
